The Sun hits the raindrops
gasting a shimmering shine.
Raindops pound the ground
commiting the most sequential suicide.
As they die,
a beautiful harmony is made.
I get lost in the harmony
and I close my eyes to take it in.
When I reopen them
I direct my gaze down .
The raindrops are hitting the expanse
of water that covers the street.
A pattern is formed in the water,
Circles that radiate from each death.
I marvel at this simplicity,
feeling completely serene.
New water droplets are falling,
Where are they coming from?
These new glimmering additions
fall and form the same pattern.
With curiousity I follow the way
that the new water droplets fell.
They lead to a place
I would never have guessed.
A part of me,
That witnessed the original beauty.
